Time Sensitive Provisions

When to buy your insurance is a very important decision. We recommend purchasing your travel insurance when booking your trip. Why? Most travel insurance policies contain time sensitive provisions which broaden coverage when you purchase the insurance in a timely manner. For example, all Global Alert plans have a 15 day time sensitive period to obtain full coverage. This provision applies to the waiving of Pre-Existing Conditions, Financial Insolvency (Preferred and Preferred Plus) and the Cancel for Any Reason Benefit (Preferred and Preferred Plus).

Important Tip! Waiting until final payment for your trip is a mistake. Purchase within 15 days of your initial trip deposit and receive broader coverage at the same price than if you purchase with final payment.
